Architecture and Urbanism

New avenues of interaction must be explored between Campus institutions and the society that receives research results; the Campus' full accessibility for all people must be guaranteed. To achieve this, two aims are the universal accessibility of facilities as well as the use of ICTs in improving communication with the people who live, study and work on the Campuses.

While numerous cultural and sports activities are currently being developed on the Campuses, the means available to the entire CEI·MAR group and the creation of the Creativity Campus open up new avenues to bring the rest of society closer to Campus life and in turn, the knowledge and artistic output related to the marine environment.

Fruit of CEI·MAR's commitment to sustainability, which is based on three aspects - economic, environmental and social - has led to the definition of an ambitious sustainability programme. The current equality and social responsibility policies and application of environmental sustainability policies will always be present on the Campus.

Some of the Campus' strategic objectives are to promote the development of a high-quality, innovative academic environment for university life that provides a high level of services, configures a sociable campus as an important transmitter of human values and guarantees equal opportunities.

Objectives:

• Strengthen a comprehensive transformation of Campus promoting cultural, sports, conciliating, innovative and balanced space committed to society
• To guarantee the integral adequacy of buildings, planning, communication and services for universal use and interaction with all people
• To define viable projects that reconcile the CEI·MAR's economic, social and environmental aspects
